The double phase stainless steel 6A ball valve has a valve body and valve body cover cast from ASTM A995 GRADE 6A (CD3MWCuN) or A890 GRADE 6A (CD3MWCuN), while the ball, valve stem, and fixed shaft are machined from forged or bar materials such as A182 F55 or S32760. It is suitable for installation in seawater heat exchange equipment or pipes in hot brine corrosive environments, serving as a valve for controlling the flow, cutting off, or moderately regulating the medium inside the pipe. The main components of this valve are made from super duplex stainless steel castings, with the main composition being 24.0-26.0% Cr, 6.5-8.5% Ni, 3.0-4.0% Mo, 0.2-0.3% N, 0.5-1.0% W, and 0.5-1.0% Cu. Its characteristic is that it is based on high Cr, Mo, and N, and adds a certain amount of W and Cu, which not only improves the casting performance but also reduces the content of precious metal Mo, especially has better resistance to chloride pitting corrosion and an anti-pitting equivalent index PREN exceeding 40.
