The three-piece high-platform ball valve is mainly used for cutting off or connecting the medium, and can also be used for regulating and controlling the flow of fluids. Compared with other valve types, the ball valve has the following advantages:

1. Low fluid resistance. The ball valve is the valve type with the least fluid resistance among all valve types. Even for the reduced-diameter ball valve, its fluid resistance is still quite small.

2. Quick and convenient operation. As long as the valve stem rotates 90°, the ball valve completes the full opening or full closing action, making it easy to achieve rapid opening and closing.

3. Good sealing performance. The sealing ring of the ball valve seat is generally made of elastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene, which is easy to ensure sealing, and the sealing force of the ball valve increases with the increase of medium pressure.

4. Reliable valve stem sealing. During the opening and closing of the ball valve, the valve stem only rotates, so the packing seal of the valve stem is less likely to be damaged, and the reverse sealing of the valve stem's sealing force increases with the increase of medium pressure.

5. The opening and closing of the ball valve only requires a 90° rotation, so it is easy to achieve automatic control and remote control. The ball valve can be equipped with pneumatic devices, electric devices, hydraulic devices, pneumatic-hydraulic linkage devices, or electro-hydraulic linkage devices.

6. The channel of the ball valve is smooth and flat, and is not prone to medium deposition. It can be used for pipeline ball passing.
