I. Core Material and Product Overview of S32168 Globe Valve


332168 Globe Valve's core material S32168 is a digital designation in the Chinese GBT standard, corresponding to the new designation 06Cr18N11T, and the old designations include 0Cr18N10, TL1Cr18N9T. It belongs to a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel, being a high-carbon reinforced version of the 321 stainless steel series. The S32168 material is fixed with titanium (T) elements to control the carbon content, effectively inhibiting intergranular corrosion within the 450.850°C sensitization temperature range. At the same time, it optimizes the carbon content ratio, significantly enhancing the strength and creep resistance in high-temperature environments, providing a core foundation for the S32168 Globe Valve to withstand high temperatures, corrosion, and structural stability. The S32168 Globe Valve is designed and manufactured strictly in accordance with industry standards such as NB/T47044, GB/T12224, and ASME B16.34, with pressure ratings covering PN16-PN420 (CLASS150-2500), working temperature range -29°C to 648°C, nominal diameter DN10-DN200 (NPS 3/8-8), and can meet the fluid control requirements for high-pressure and high-temperature industrial pipelines. The valve body is formed by casting or forging processes, and the connection methods support flange and welding as the main forms. The drive method can be selected as manual, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic according to the working conditions, suitable for different operation scenarios and automation control requirements. From the structural design perspective, the S32168 Globe Valve adopts a straight-through structure, with the valve disc and valve seat sealing surfaces welded with hard alloys, featuring corrosion resistance, anti-abrasion, and high sealing accuracy, ensuring that the sealing surface meets the requirements of conformity and smoothness during the valve's opening and closing process. The valve stem is equipped with a compensation mechanism, which can automatically adjust the fit between the valve disc and valve body sealing surfaces, ensuring the sealing effect; the valve stem has a reverse chamfer structure, forming a complete upper sealing system when fully open, preventing medium leakage. The middle chamber adopts a self-sealing structure, with higher working pressure resulting in better sealing performance, meeting the sealing requirements for high-pressure conditions; the packing material is selected from wear-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials, further enhancing sealing stability and reducing fluid resistance, suitable for medium transportation scenarios with poor fluidity.

The wide application fields of S32168 stop valves


With its comprehensive advantages of high-temperature resistance, anti-intergranular corrosion, and reliable sealing, S32168 stop valves are widely used in key fields such as thermal power, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, high-temperature heat exchange, and shipbuilding. They have become the core equipment for high-temperature and high-pressure fluid control systems. Specific application scenarios are as follows:

(1) Thermal power industry

The thermal power industry is the core application field of S32168 stop valves. They are mainly used in boiler systems, steam transmission pipelines, superheaters, reheaters, and water supply pipelines, etc., in key positions. The operating temperature of thermal power boilers often reaches 450-600°C, with high pressure, and the medium is high-temperature and high-pressure steam. Ordinary 304 stop valves are prone to intergranular corrosion and strength attenuation at high temperatures, 316L stop valves have insufficient high-temperature strength, while S32168 stop valves can withstand 648°C high temperatures for a long time, with stable creep resistance, a sealing structure suitable for high-pressure steam conditions, effectively preventing leakage and ensuring the stable operation of the thermal power system.

(2) Petrochemical industry

During the production process of petrochemicals, there are many scenarios of high-temperature reactions and heating transportation, such as heating furnace pipelines, reactor inlet and outlet, high-temperature hot oil transportation pipelines, cracking units, distillation units, etc. The medium temperature in these scenarios is high (400-550°C), some media contain weak acids, sulfides, and the pipelines do not require re-solvent treatment after welding. The anti-intergranular corrosion ability and high-temperature stability of S32168 stop valves are "suitable", they can withstand high-temperature medium erosion for a long time, avoid corrosion failure after welding, and at the same time, cut off and regulate the medium flow to meet the control requirements of chemical processes.

(3) High-temperature heat exchange and heat utilization industry

In industrial high-temperature heat exchange systems, residual heat recovery devices, heat transfer oil circulation systems, high-temperature hot water pipelines, etc., the medium temperature is usually between 300-500°C. The requirements for the high-temperature resistance and sealing performance of the valves are high. S32168 stop valves are suitable for such scenarios, can stably control high-temperature heat transfer oil, hot water, and steam, with the valve body and sealing surface resistant to medium corrosion, no leakage during long-term operation, and help to efficiently utilize heat energy, reducing energy loss.

(5) Shipbuilding and marine engineering industry

In scenarios such as steam power systems of ships, high-temperature fuel oil transportation pipelines, high-temperature medium pipelines of marine platforms, etc., some areas have high temperatures (300-500°C) and weak corrosive environments, and require a compact structure, reliable sealing, and resistance to vibration.
