The ammonia-flanged stop valve integrates multiple technologies in its design to ensure reliable operation in ammonia medium environments. The sealing system is one of the key features of this type of valve. The sealing surfaces of these valves are usually made of babbitt alloy or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) materials. The babbitt alloy has excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, which can effectively resist the erosion of hydrogen medium; while PTFE provides excellent sealing performance, and the combination of the two forms a double guarantee. The sealing surface of the valve body adopts a spherical convex structure, which is sealed with the valve foot in a line-fitting manner. This design enhances the sealing performance and service life, and effectively reduces the risk of medium leakage. The flange connection design of the ammonia-flanged stop valve usually has a square structure for the middle flange, which enhances the overall strength and installation compatibility of the valve. For large-diameter pipelines, the flange connection method is more advantageous, facilitating operation and replacement. Some products also adopt an offset-ribbed structure, which ensures reliable flange sealing under pressure fluctuations in the pipeline.

The overall leak prevention design is another highlight of the ammonia-flanged stop valve. The upper sealing device of the valve uses multi-level polytetrafluoroethylene sealing materials to form a combined seal, ensuring that the stuffing box of the valve has no medium leakage during its service life.

This eliminates the shortcomings of weak stuffing box sealing and easy medium leakage in ordinary valves. The introduction of the bellows design further enhances the sealing safety of the valve, achieving zero leakage. The valve stem design has also been specially considered, using an inter-bar connection or concealed stem connection design to improve operational stability and pressure-bearing capacity. This design reduces the direct contact between the valve stem and the medium, lowering the risk of corrosion and leakage. Due to the certain flammable and explosive risk of ammonia gas, the structural design of the ammonia-flanged stop valve pays special attention to fire prevention requirements, maintaining basic sealing performance in abnormal situations and preventing the expansion of accidents.
