Overview of the 1B duplex steel ball valve product:

The 1B duplex steel ball valve is a type of valve where the valve body and valve body cover are cast using ASTM A995 Gr.1B (CD4MCuN) or A890 Gr.1B (CD4MCuN) etc., while the ball, valve stem, and fixed shaft, etc. are made from forged or bar materials such as A182 F61 or S32550. This duplex stainless steel ball valve, which uses a ball as the closing element, is driven by a handle or other driving device to apply a certain torque to the upper end of the valve stem, causing the ball to rotate 90°. The through hole of the ball is aligned with or perpendicular to the center line of the valve body channel. Thus, the valve completes the full opening or full closing action. The main components of this valve are made from high-nitrogen duplex stainless steel castings. Their chemical composition is C: ≤ 0.04, Si: ≤ 1.00, Mn: ≤ 1.00, P: ≤ 0.040, S: ≤ 0.040, Cr: 24.5 - 26.5, Mo: 1.7 - 2.3, Ni: 4.70 - 6.00, Cu: 2.7 - 3.3, N: 0.10 - 0.25. The high Cr content and sufficient Mo content give it excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion. Adding 0.10% - 0.25% N can enhance its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion as well as the tensile strength of the casting, and it is also an effective solid solution strengthening and low-cost alloy element.
