The 2205 duplex steel wire-wrapped stop valve is a threaded (threaded) connection type stop valve. The nominal pressure ranges from PN16 to PN160, and the nominal diameter ranges from DN10 to DN65. The connection forms include NPT threads, G threads, and BS threads. The material is 2205 duplex stainless steel. 

Duplex Stainless Steel (abbreviated as DSS) possesses anti-stress corrosion properties in media containing chloride ions. It combines the two forms of austenite and ferrite. The duplex steel has a low carbon content, high chromium, high nickel, high molybdenum and high nitrogen. It has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion and exhibits excellent comprehensive corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. 

2205 duplex stainless steel has an equal proportion of ferrite phase and austenite phase in its solid solution structure, and is a type of stainless steel with a relatively low content of other phases reaching 30%. Duplex stainless steel is formed by increasing the Cr content or adding other ferrite elements on the basis of 18-8 austenitic stainless steel. It not only has a dual structure of austenite and ferrite, but also saves Ni alloy. 

Dual-phase stainless steel combines the advantages of ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel. The presence of austenite reduces the brittleness and tendency of crystal growth of high-Cr ferrite, while maintaining excellent toughness and welding performance; the presence of ferrite increases the yield strength, intergranular corrosion resistance and chloride stress corrosion resistance of austenite.

Dual-phase steel has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, local corrosion, fatigue corrosion, wear resistance, and can be used in media such as seawater, salt water, desulfurization water, etc., especially in environments containing chloride ions.
